Hi, my name is Simon Brocklehurst.

Simon Brocklehurst is an entrepreneur actively involved in running two
high-tech start-up companies, both of which he co-founded. He is a
General Partner at Ash Biotech, a biotechnology company focussed on the
development of new technologies for the discovery of new medicines; and
the Chief Executive of Psynixis, a stealth-mode software company
building applications and services at the intersection of the mobile
phone and the Internet spaces. Prior to his current roles, Simon held
a variety of senior roles at the biotechnology company, Cambridge
Antibody Technology (CAT, now AstraZeneca), where he was responsible for
building the company’s capabilities in IT, informatics and robotics. He
reported into the main Board of CAT, and served on the Board of its
Technology Division subsidiary company. Simon has played key roles in
selling, negotiating and executing deals worth up to hundreds of
millions of dollars with biotech and pharma companies throughout the US
and Europe. He has over ten years experience at a senior level in
commercial biotechnology with experience of all phases of drug
development from discovery through to the clinic; and over twenty years
experience in software development. Prior to joining CAT, Simon held a
personal fellowship at the University of Oxford. He has a PhD from the University of Cambridge.
