Five Things About Me You Don’t Know…

So, I got tagged by Marc Dencker of Microsoft… which means I have to tell you five things about me that most of you don’t know. This shouldn’t be too difficult - I tend not to blog much about myself, so there’ll be no need for me to get too deep and meaningful here…
1. I’m a petrol head, and a sucker for sports cars. My current car is a Porcshe 911 (a 996 Carrera 4S, for any aficionados out there). You can hear me coming a couple of miles away… no point in having a 911 without sports exhausts, IMHO.
2. I have a sure-fire system for winning at roulette in a casino - keeping betting on black. Each time you lose, simply double your stake. If you keep losing, you just keep doubling up. You need to make sure your original stake is low enough that you can afford to lose, say nine times in a row, and keep doubling up. The only way you can fail to win with this system is if red numbers come up lots of times in succession. Ever played roulette and had red come more than ten times in a row? I have! Damn. Who’d have thought that was even possible?! But honestly, my system does work!
3. I’m a pretty good mixologist, if I do say so myself. My favourite cocktails vary with the season, and the year; but if in doubt, it’s hard to beat a really good Margarita (which you hardly ever get in a bar - you gotta use freshly made lime juice). If you want to make cocktails yourself, there is just one book you need - The Craft of the Cocktail, by the amazing Dale Degroff.
4. My favourite TV series for the last few years has been 24. Fortunately, in the UK this season, we’re just one week behind the US (in previous years, we’ve been months behind). The ring tone on my mobile is the CTU ringtone. Yes, I admit it - I feel like I’m in CTU whenever the phone rings, dammit Chloe
5. My favourite cognac is Louis XIII, my favourite cigars are Cohibas, and my favourite Champagne is Dom Pérignon… for future reference if anyone wants to buy me a present!
Now, I’m not gonna tag anyone - every blogger on the planet has already been tagged… surely…

Global warming is a big issue, no doubt.
I use compact fluorescent light bulbs. That’s a really easy change for everyone to make, and yet relatively few people have.
So, when everyone on the planet has switched to using those, instead of incandescent bulbs, I’ll consider choosing cars on the basis of their environmental impact…
