With Java SE 6 (Mustang) now at the beta release stage, I thought I’d enter into the community spirit and submit a regression that I’d noticed. The cool thing is, it only took the team three days (I submitted it on Feb 16), to process the bug submission, assign it a status, and get back to me.

My submission turned out to be a duplicate of a bug submitted last November. And it looks like someone else noticed the same bug in the Java SE 6 beta on the same day I did. It’s good to see the whole process appears to be working.

If you notice any regressions in the beta product release, the bug submission takes only a few minutes; and if you spot a regression before anyone else does, you’re in with a chance with winning an Ultra 20 workstation.
