Firefox 1.5 - Full Of Crash Bugs?
Maybe it’s just me - but Firefox 1.5 on Windows XP seems to be full of crash bugs. Previous versions of the browser were pretty solid, but the new version (1.5) either locks up (requiring the app to be killed) or crashes several times a day.
This is not the crash bug being widely reported, where the browser crashes everytime it’s started, until the history.day file is deleted. The crash bugs I’m talking about are more intermittent in nature. They might well be threading code-related. Casual observation suggests that the crashes happen more when opening lots of tabs simulataneously and interacting with web pages whilst other tabs are loading.
Anyyway, time to re-install version 1.0.7…
UPDATE:
Back to using 1.0.7, and it’s been rock-solid all day.
