Well, HP has been quick to put up a very helpful webpage warning all us poor customers out here in userland about the dangers lurking behind Sun’s Niagara-based server launch. I quote:

Be careful — there is a waterfall of change lurking around the bend.

Don’t tell me to be careful, HP! You be careful! On the whole, customers don’t like being treated like idiots, or being told what to do. Here’s a hint: this hasn’t made me want to spend a lot of time evaluating what you have to offer. Especially, I won’t be spending a lot of time thinking about those exciting Itanium-based “Integrity” servers of yours (does anyone actually buy Itanium-based servers these days? Wow!). And if you’re going to slag off the competition, use a little humour please - at least then you might make your potential customers smile…
