The Reviews Are In: Should You Buy Xbox 360 Without HDTV?
Reviews of the Xbox 360 are starting to come in. And the question has been raised: should you buy an Xbox 360? The New York Post says:
It’s an amazing console… Plugged into a high-definition television set with a booming sound system, it’s amazing, a wonderland of sights and music.
However, if you don’t have HDTV, their conclusion is:
Don’t buy the Xbox 360

CNN says:
The system truly sings with a high definition television, as has been widely reported, but still shows noticeable graphical improvements over the current generation. In an ideal world, HD is best, but you can survive for a while without it and still enjoy the system.
but also says:
Is there a reason… to rush to stores? The short answer: Not on Day One.

Maybe it’s a bit early to draw a consensus view - but it’s starting to look like the Xbox 360 is gonna be a good buy for early adopters if they already have HDTV, or will be getting an HD TV or projector at the same time they purchase their console. I can certainly vouch for how good it looks in HD.
